A memorial inaugurated on 27 January 2013 in the basement of Milan's central station, at underground platform 21 (Binario 21), from which convoys carried arrested Jews to Auschwitz-Birkenau. It is the only European deportation site to have remained entirely intact in its original architecture. The memorial hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions as well as an educational program for Italian schools.
