Founded in 1993 (formerly the Annenberg Research Institute), the Katz Center is one of the leading postdoctoral research centers in Jewish studies in the United States. Each year it hosts a cohort of international fellows around an interdisciplinary annual theme. It is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania and benefits from the extensive collections of the Penn Libraries, including the Genizah collection. Its fellowship model has influenced other similar institutes.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
