Founded in 1987 by Susan E. King, JewishGen is the world's reference organization for Jewish genealogy, which became in 2003 a division of the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York. It provides access to more than 22 million records (vital records, burials, Holocaust archives), family trees, index databases by country and translations of hundreds of Yizkor Books.
