Founded in 1977 by Arthur Kurzweil in New York, the Jewish Genealogical Society was the very first Jewish genealogy society in the world and inspired the creation of more than ninety similar societies. A non-profit organization, it offers monthly lectures, workshops and research outings, and has since 1997 built searchable online index databases.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
