Cinemathèque founded in 1973 by Lia van Leer, initially at Beit Agron, then from 1981 in a building overlooking the Old City. It houses the Israel Film Archive (created in 1963), which preserves Israeli films from the 1920s onward, and organizes the Jerusalem Film Festival; a major institution of national cinema culture.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
