Country's leading higher music conservatory, founded in 1933 by violinist Emil Hauser. Renamed Rubin Academy of Music in 1958 through patron Samuel Rubin's support, it added a dance department in 1965. Relocated to the Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University in 2003, it is the major national academy of music and dance.
