Holocaust memorial museum, the first Holocaust museum in the Southeastern United States, opened to the public in 1986 in Maitland (Orlando area), stemming from a project launched in 1981 by survivor Tess Wise. It carries out a mission of Holocaust and tolerance education for central Florida.
