A British association founded in 1993, devoted to preserving the Memory and heritage of Jews of Middle Eastern and North African origin living in the United Kingdom. Harif (an acronym for 'Historical and Research Information on Forgotten Jews') collects oral testimonies, photographs, and family documents from communities of Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Iran, Libya, and Morocco. The association publishes a regular bulletin and organizes conferences in partnership with British universities and London museums. It advocates for the recognition of the rights of Jewish refugees expelled from Arab countries after 1948.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
