Founded in 1950, the Fonds Social Juif Unifié is the federating organization of French Jewry, managing the collection and redistribution of funds for Jewish institutions in France and aid to Israel. It coordinates the activity of some 700 French Jewish associations through its annual fundraising network (Keren Hayessod France). The FSJU also manages the Endowment Fund for the Memory of the Holocaust and participates in financing Jewish education, and the social and cultural life of Sephardic and Ashkenazic communities. Its bulletin and social studies constitute a valuable documentary source on the demography and sociology of contemporary French Jewry.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
